It's always the same five questions.
What's the WiFi password. Where do we park. What time is check-in, actually — the listing says 3pm but can we get in earlier. Is there a hair dryer. What's good to eat nearby.
Every host learns this within the first month. Doesn't matter how good your listing description is, how detailed your house manual is, how many photos you took of the thermostat with arrows pointing at it — guests don't read the manual. They text you. Usually while you're driving, or asleep, or three drinks into your own vacation.
The manual isn't the problem
I used to think the fix was a better guidebook. More detail, better formatting, laminate it, leave it on the counter. It helped a little. But a guest standing in an unfamiliar kitchen at 9pm isn't going to flip through a binder — they're going to do what they do for literally everything else in their life: pull out their phone and ask.
So I stopped fighting that and built something that meets them there instead.
What I actually built
