Nightbell ("we", "us") provides a guest-chat concierge tool for short-term rental hosts. This page explains what we collect, why, and how it's used.
From hosts (account holders): your email address, a hashed password (we never store your password itself), the guidebook content and listing details you upload, reservation details you add or that arrive via forwarded booking emails, and basic usage data (log-in times, IP address for rate-limiting and abuse prevention).
From guests: messages sent to a listing's chat link are stored so the host can review conversation history and see which questions the guide didn't answer. Guests are not asked to create an account or provide contact details to use the chat.
We do not sell your data or your guests' data to third parties.
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run Nightbell: an AI inference provider to generate chat answers, an email delivery provider (Resend) to send account emails and to receive forwarded booking emails, and standard hosting/analytics infrastructure. We also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and measure whether ads bring people who actually sign up — this uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited and general location. You can opt out using your browser's cookie settings or an ad-blocking extension.
Guest chat history is kept for a limited period and then automatically deleted. Email ingestion logs are kept for a limited period for troubleshooting and then automatically deleted. You can delete your account and its data at any time by contacting us.
You can access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us at the address below. If you're a guest and want a conversation removed, ask your host or contact us directly.
